Solar is a big decision, and the quotes are hard to compare. One installer offers cash, another a loan with a low advertised rate, a third a lease that rises every year. Production estimates vary. Fees hide in loan amounts. And in 2026, some quotes still lean on a federal tax credit that homeowners who buy can no longer claim.
